Dr. Hankins looks at Felix, Festus and Agrippa

They were three powerful men, and they all had the chance to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed to them by the Apostle Paul.

The accounts of those hearings as recorded in the Book of Acts were the basis of the message brought by Louisiana Baptist Convention Executive Director Dr. David Hankins at the Feb. 23 weekly chapel at LC.

Dr. Hankins called it a "history lesson" with a sobering warning.

"I believe... the Spirit of God moved on the hearts of each of the men who listened," Hankins said. "It is what the New Testament calls conviction. The Spirit of God began to speak in the hearts of these men to convince them of their sinfulness and the need for God.

"But there is another sad similarity - each one of them said, 'No.'"
