ABSN open house postponed; Basketball games still on

LC's Spring Revival came to an end Thursday morning as Dr. Kenneth Keathley yielded the stage to LC President Dr. Joe Aguillard - with Dr. Aguillard proceeding to give the news - no classes for Thursday evening or Friday morning.

In fact, the LC Campus will be closed Friday because of the snowy mix of weather expected to hit Central Louisiana tonight and into the morning tomorrow. With Winter Break set to begin Friday afternoon anyway, Dr. Aguillard wanted to give student the opportunity to adjust travel plans in order to stay safe.

Offices will re-open for normal business hours on Tuesday and classes will resume on Wednesday.

Another event that is being postponed is the ABSN Open House. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the formal lounge of the Granberry Conference Center.

The evening will be an opportunity for prospective students to meet Dr. Kimberly Sharp and other LC nursing faculty, learn about admission policies, pre-requisites, tuition, financial aid and scholarships.

Applications are being accepted until March 1st. For more information about the A.B.S.N. program and the open house on Thursday, February 11th call (318) 229-3796 or e-mail
