Chattanooga pastor speaks on “Purpose-Driven Strife” at Thursday chapel service

by Al Quartemont

Dr. Adam Dooley is the pastor of Red Bank Baptist Church

On Thursday, Jan. 21, LC welcomed Dr. Adam Dooley as its guest speaker for the weekly chapel service. Dr. Dooley spoke on "Purpose-Driven Strife" as he challenged students and faculty to see trials and difficulties in life as having a greater purpose in our spiritual growth, and more importantly perhaps, for the furtherance of the Gospel.

Dr. Dooley is the pastor of Red Bank Baptist Church in Chattanooga. He is also an adjunct professor at Temple Baptist Seminary (also in Chattanooga).

The following is taken from his biography page on the Temple Baptist Seminary website:

A native of Berea, Kentucky, Adam B. Dooley has been preaching the gospel since age seventeen. After surrendering to full-time gospel ministry in 1996, he served as both Pastor and Associate Pastor before coming to be the Senior Pastor at Red Bank Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee on July 9, 2006. He has also preached several revivals throughout Kentucky, as well as a gospel crusade in Trivandrum, India. With a passion for expository preaching, Dr.Dooley seeks to unveil the timeless truths and principles of Scripture to a contemporary audience.
He received the Bachelor of Arts from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in 1999, as well as the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002 and 2006 respectively.
