Recruiting event in Bossier City - Watch our Video!

The Louisiana College Office of Admissions is holding a recruiting event in Bossier City on Sunday, April 18th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Louisiana Boardwalk shopping center on the river. This event is a perfect opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to attend presentations, ask questions of admissions officers present, and learn more about what Louisiana College has to offer.

“We are the right combination of what all students are looking for in a college,” said Byron McGee, Director of Enrollment Management. “We are a rigorous liberal arts college grounded in the Christian faith.”

Louisiana College (LC) is a four-year, private Christian college located in Pineville, just 2 hours south of Shreveport. LC has consistently been named in “America’s Best College Buys” for the past 14 years.
Students at LC do not become a number; they are treated as individuals, and have the opportunity to know their professors. Louisiana College can boast some of the best scores on discipline-specific standardized tests. In fact, during the past five years, 92% of LC applicants to medical school have been accepted with an average entrance exam (MCAT) score of 30.6. These numbers place the pre-medicine training program at LC as one of the best in the southern region of the United States.

It is not too late to apply for admission and scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year. “We want everyone interested to stop by and visit with us on Sunday, April 18th,” said Ronnie Lalande, Director of Financial Aid. “Right now is the time for students to get their financial aid paperwork ready.” Even though Louisiana College is a private school, “we offer competitive tuition, scholarships, and awards, and that is why we continue to be listed as a ‘Best Buy’,” said Lalande. “In fact, we have the lowest tuition cost for a private, four-year college in the state of Louisiana.”

So, if you are shopping for a college, stop by the Boardwalk on Sunday, April 18th from 1 to 5 p.m. and learn about what Louisiana College can offer you! For more information, contact the Office of College Communications at (318) 487-7194 or http://www.lacollege.edu
