ASC hangs on to top three spots.

PINEVILLE - Another week, another sweep of the first-place votes. For the third consecutive week, the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats softball team is the unanimous selection for the top team in the land in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Top 25.

LC (25-1) remains just ahead of fellow Ameican Southwest Conference East Division teams Texas-Tyler (No. 2 in the country) and East Texas Baptist (No. 3) with Christopher Newport and Messiah rounding out the top five.

Still ranked is Mississippi College who, at No. 11, gives the ASC East four teams in the top 15.

LC will defend its No. 1 ranking with four games in two days, all against the University of the Ozarks, beginning Thursday at 4 p.m. with a doubleheader and concluding Friday at noon with a second doubleheader.
