Happening at Central Arkansas this weekend

A season of practice and lots of hard work all comes down to one weekend for the Louisiana College Debate Team.

The LC squad is off to Conway, Ark., and the International Public Debate Association National Tournament, being hosted at the University of Central Arkansas.

LC is in its third year of debate under Scot Loyd. Last year at the national tournament, the Wildcats took 4th place in the Novice team division. Stephanie Baer, then a sophomore, brought home an individual national championship in the Novice division as well.

This year, LC is sending 23 debate team members to the competition. The Wildcats had a strong season this year, finishing 4th out of 38 teams.
