More than 100 toys will help local charity

For a second straight year, Louisiana College's Dept. of Convergence Media has made a significant contribution to the Central Louisiana Marine Corps. Toys for Tots drive.

LC's Introduction to Mass Communication students were able to collect more than 100 toys which will now go to children from needy families in the area.

"We want to thank the LC community and all those who had the heart to donate something to make this Christmas a good one for lots of kids," said LC Instructor of Journalism Al Quartemont. "This was the second year that we were able to conduct this Toys for Tots drive, and we certainly hope it will become entrenched on campus as an annual tradition."
