We’re beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

LC Campus gets make-over in time for "Follow The Star"

While students and faculty are enjoying the Thanksgiving break, around campus, LC workers like Ken Cary are busy putting the finishing touches on the campus to get it ready for "Follow the Star".

The community is invited to celebrate Christmas with the faculty, students, and staff of Louisiana College as they host the 3rd annual "Follow the Star - A Louisiana College Christmas." This three-evening event is a time of family fun, complete with hot cocoa, Christmas carols and crafts for the children. The campus will be lit with thousands of Christmas lights, as visitors are guided through the live reenactment of the Christmas story. On Saturday night, Christmas drama will be presented as a tribute to all branches of the U.S. military.

Here's a look at what's planned for this year's big event:

Thursday, December 3rd

* 6 p.m. - Official lighting of campus
* 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Area choirs will perform (Alexandria Hall)
* 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. - "Follow the Star" a journey through the Christmas Story (around campus)
* 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Children's hands-on activities (Weathersby Fine Arts Building)
* 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. - LC Art Department annual Christmas sidewalk sale (Weathersby Fine Arts Building)

Friday, December 4th

* 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Area choirs will perform (Alexandria Hall)

Saturday, December 5th

*6 p.m. - "Christmas Letters from War" - This production, written by LC's own Dr. Pete Richardson, uses drama and music to tell a story of one family and their hope to see their son come home from war in time for Christmas. Actual letters from war will be inter-woven into this heart-warming story that highlights different wartime years in American History.
