There is one priceless, packaged dish that every college student cannot live without; and that is Ramen Noodles.
This sealed, tight package of dried noodles at first seems unappetizing, but once you heat them up and apply your favorite sauce, it’s a delicious dish that you could not get anywhere else for 99 cents.
There are over 50 different flavors of these noodles including: Chili, Chili Lime, Chicken, Creamy Chicken, Roast Chicken, Shrimp, Beef, Oriental, Cheese, and so much more.
People mix and match packages, add hot sauce, add seasoning, and many other ingredients to personalize their favorite Ramen; but if there is anyone out there like me, you are always looking for more ideas to liven up your Ramen smorgasbord.
Thankfully, the College Survival Guide on the Rasmussen College website has shared with the college community over 50 different Ramen recipes that are cheap, easy to make, and absolutely delightful.
Sharing all of these recipes in this particular article would be unnecessary, but I decided to pick a few of my favorites and share:
Beef Ramen Tex Mex
1.Make Tex Mex ramen by browning pound of ground beef.
2.Stir in package of taco seasoning mix and boiled ramen noodles.
3.Place on serving dish and top with cup each diced tomato, chopped onion and shredded cheese, a bit of chopped cilantro and some crushed nacho-cheese flavored tortilla chips.
Chicken Noodle Tai
1.Make a Thai-inspired dish with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce mixed with 2 tablespoons peanut butter, teaspoon each garlic powder and teaspoon chili powder.
2.Stir into hot boiled noodles along with 1 cup diced cooked chicken and about 4 sliced green onions.
Chicken Alfredo Ramen-o
1.Heat your favorite Alfredo sauce and pour over hot boiled bowl of Chicken Ramen Noodles.
2.Stir in diced ham or cooked chicken, if you have any on hand.
3.Heat in microwave again, if desired
